One goal I had when putting this site together was to encourage non-songwriters to contribute their talents to recordings.

......Too many events / venues to check out all the songwriters in town? Fairfield Music Gallery lets you sample the richness and depth of local songwriting/musical talent; all genres, accompanied by their fellow musicians, singers and groups.
Sign up as a member and join the appropriate group (songwriter, musician, singer, recording engineer, fan, ??) You can put a few photos on your page, load a few of your original songs (mp3), load a video of your original music performance and redirect people to your site if you want.
For those of you who do not have the ability to record your work, I can arrange for the recording of one or two pieces depending on the complexity/ length etc. No Charge. This is at a home studio but very decent quality. Write to me at mrf@mchsi.com and we can arrange for a recording session.

Okoboji Swim

I grew up in the Iowa Great Lakes Area of North West Iowa, just outside the town of Spirit Lake, Iowa ..... Lake Okoboji is the deepest and longest lake there , one of only 3 blue water lakes on Earth...In the summer, an old time double decker tourist boat, The Queen, would run several times a day back and forth on this lake ... Clarinet Instructor

Hey.... does anybody out there know of someone in the Fairfield or surrounding area that gives clarinet instruction and is a real stickler for those pesky little nagging details like good form, nice sound, knowing scales and stupid stuff like that???

let me know......I feel like being challenged by the Master.........
